Bedilu Yirga

President

Pastor Bedilu T. Yirga is an esteemed figure who has dedicated over two decades of service as the lead pastor at the Ethiopian Evangelical Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. In addition to his pastoral role, he is the founder and president of the CARE Partnership Project. Pastor Bedilu is also a published author with two books in Amharic, titled "Strong Family" and "Train Yourself for Godliness."

 

His educational journey includes earning a Doctor of Education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, and a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

 

Pastor Bedilu and his wife, Almaz Dessalegn, reside in Dallas, Texas, with their two sons, Levi and Addis. Their daughter, Essey, resides in Denver, Colorado, with her husband, Pastor David Yirdaw, and their first granddaughter, Hannah. Pastor Bedilu's work and commitment to both his church and the community are a testament to his leadership and dedication.

Dag Yemenu

Head of Admissions & Program Committee/Board Member

Dag's journey is one marked by diverse experiences. Having grown up in Ethiopia, he embarked on a new chapter in his life when he relocated to Dallas, Texas in 2005. He is a highly educated individual, holding degrees in Engineering and Business Administration from Oklahoma State University. Presently, Dag holds the esteemed position of Senior Vice President at ISN, where his professional expertise shines.

 

In addition to his career, Dag is actively engaged in his community and serves as a member of EEBC's Global Missions Committee, contributing to important causes and initiatives.

 

Family plays a central role in Dag's life. He is happily married to Addis Kassa, and they are the proud parents of three children – two daughters and a son. Dag's story is a testament to the power of education, hard work, and dedication in shaping a fulfilling life in the United States.

Tracy Tuttle

Head of Facilities & Property Committee/Board Member

Tracy Tuttle serves as the Pastor of Local Missions at Lake Pointe Church, a dynamic community with multiple locations across Dallas. Tracy's professional journey took a fascinating turn when, after obtaining his Masters of Business Administration, he transitioned from the private sector to answer a higher calling.

 

He and his family, including his wife Kathryn and their two children, Julia and Noah, call Rockwall home. Tracy's life outside of his pastoral duties is filled with family activities, particularly attending his children's sporting events. Additionally, he enjoys spending time in the field during hunting season, connecting with nature and finding solace in the outdoors. Tracy's diverse experiences reflect his dedication to both his faith and his family.

Jeff Watters

Treasures/Board Member

Jeff Watters is a distinguished graduate of Southwestern University, where he pursued a major in business administration. Throughout his business career, Jeff's primary role has been as the CEO of a manufacturing company that he played an instrumental role in establishing.

 

For over three decades, Jeff and his family have been actively engaged members of Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall. Within the church community, Jeff has been a dedicated and versatile servant. He has contributed his time and expertise to various areas, including youth ministry, missions, the finance committee, and has also served as an elder. Jeff's commitment to both his career and his church showcases his passion for leadership and service within his community.

Dr. Kifle Admassu

Secretary

Kifle's life is a testament to a journey of faith and achievement. He was born and raised in Ethiopia before embarking on a new chapter in the United States in 1987. In 1992, he had a profound spiritual experience, coming to know the Lord as his personal savior.

 

His educational background is impressive, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in human physiology from San Jose State University, as well as an MD from the University of Michigan. Kifle's professional life is dedicated to practicing medicine in Arlington, Texas.

 

Family is central to his life; he has been happily married to his wife, Merge Ouma, for 18 years. The couple has been blessed with two sons and two daughters.

 

Kifle's active involvement in his faith community at the Ethiopian Evangelical Baptist Church since 2002 is noteworthy. He has served in various important capacities, including as the chairman of the board of elders, a member of the prayer group committee, the global mission committee, and the family fellowship, demonstrating his commitment to his church and the broader community.
